Abstract: Establishing the proper bond strength between the fiber pin and the tooth is of utmost importance for a good prognosis of the treatment. Teeth weakened by endodontic treatment may suffer greater damage when pierced. After the sealing of this drilling with MTA, there is a question about the influence of this to the bond strength, besides adding a stress factor in the pin, cement and MTA, what would be the effect. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of thermocycling on the bond strength of endodontically treated and restored roots with aggregated mineral trioxide (MTA) in 1.0 mm perforations in root dentin and intrarradicular fiberglass pins. Twenty bovine teeth were selected, which had their crowns cut and the endodontic treatment of the conduit was performed. Lateral perforations of 1.0mm diameter were made in the cervical, middle and apical thirds, sealed with MTA. Then, the conduits were prepared for fiberglass pin cementation with self-adhesive resin cement. Samples were randomly divided into a control group (without thermocycling) and a test group (with thermocycling), whose samples went through 5,000 cycles at temperatures of 5 ° C, 37 ° C and 55 ° C. Soon after, the two groups were kept in 2% methylene blue solution for 24 hours in a 37ºC oven. The specimens were sectioned into the three-thirds root of the pin, 3.0mm thick and were taken to the Universal Testing Machine for 'push-out' shear strength test. Then, the degree of moisture infiltration in the restorations with MTA was evaluated by means of percolation of the dye. The analysis of the results was done with ANOVA and Tukey's test (p <0.05). After analysis, it was verified that the test group presented higher resistance values in the cervical and middle thirds, where it can be affirmed that there was influence of the thermocycling and as to the degree of infiltration there was good sealing of the restorations with MTA.
