Educação prisional: o processo de formação do aluno-detento na unidade prisional de Tabatinga-AM

Abstract

The training process of students and inmates within the prison unit of Tabatinga is highlighted in attending the subjects through the National Program of Integration of Professional Education with Basic Education in the Modality of Education of Young and Adults in the Prison System. The present study highlights Prison Education: the process of student-inmate training at the prison in Tabatinga-AM. This study aimed to investigate the process of formation of students in prison in the Tabatinga Prison. Through the specific objectives we sought to know how to proceed with the training of the student inmate; Identify the factors associated with the problems encountered by the teacher within the classroom; Report the methodology and the learning process in the classroom of the Prison Unit. In this study, the participatory research and the qualitative analyzes were carried out using dialectical methods and procedures and the theoretical contributions were based on the authors such as Haddab, Maeyer, Benevides, Touraine, Poppovic, Moraes, Martins, Neves, Marques, Gil, Ventura, Hussey, Cervo, Bervian, Brandão, Zacarias, Calhau, Castro, Collis, Costa, Coyle, Di Pierro, Freire, Foucault and Libâneo, Santos, Salla, Saviani, Vieira, Leme, Paiva. Data were collected through direct observation in the presidio classroom, and questionnaires were applied to (01) director, three (3) teachers and six (6) students-inmates of the 1st Elementary School segment of the Prison Unit of Tabatinga- AM. Having as a result a better definition of prison education, general understanding of the work of the teacher, the methods used in this process, identification of resources for education in prisons, perceiving some of the difficulties that are presented, The reality of the prison system represents an aid to the construction of citizenship and the return of these individuals to society.
