| Description: | O objetivo neste trabalho é analisar o lugar social da mulher no Brasil colonial através do romance Desmundo, da escritora Ana Miranda. Partindo da perspectiva proposta por linhas de pensamento como da História Nova e dos Estudos Culturais, analisa-se neste artigo a representação social da mulher no contexto do Brasil colonial a partir de uma narrativa romanesca que põe em cena a mulher como sujeito oprimido, mas dotado de uma voz que possibilita expor seu olhar/leitura acerca do que a sociedade impunha para o comportamento femininonas esferas sociais. Lido a partir da ótica da metaficção historiográfica, que visa revisitar, através da ficção, importantes períodos históricos e lê-los dentro de uma perspectiva desestabilizadora, para além da versão oficial dos fatos, o romance de Miranda recupera aspectos relevantes dos primeiros anos do Brasil após a chegada dos portugueses, relendo-os pelo filtro do olhar da personagem-narradora Oribela. |
