O Centro Espírita Anna Prado e a Presença kardecista no campo religioso Parintinense

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to trace the history of the presence of kardecists in Parintins, showing, from documents, the period in which were more present, explaining his sudden disappearance and his resurgence, seeking to explain the factors that led to this period of absence of these. For, following the processes that existed in the country, a elite that controlled the political power of the region, not without the opposition of the Church Catholic. And its resurgence in the early twentieth century, with the creation of the Spiritist Center Anna Prado, who bears the name of the medium who was born in Parintins and was considered one of the most complete mediums in Brazil, drawing historical processes that do not are present in Tupinambarana historiography. And how spiritism is present in an active way in the religious scene of the city, where "Invisible" in the eyes of the official institutes, is emerging as a satisfies the religious and "scientific" needs of its practitioners, a people who is known as superstitious.
