“Emancipação e valorização da mulher” proposituras da associação cooperativa feminina COOPJUTA/ASCOOF/COOPJUTA 1985-1993

Abstract

The present article aimed to enter into the history of the Mixed Cooperative of Julienctors of Parintins at the moment in which a Cooperativa Feminina (ASCOOF) is articulated and created to identify the historical significance for those in this period. Taking as methodology the bibliographical research, data collection and semi-structured interview followed by the photo analysis of the time. The proposal is based on the local history of Parintins, whose dimensions are part of the regional history of the State of Amazonas, since ASCOOF was created in the municipality of Parintins in the mid-1980s. We have shown this history by dialoguing with the narratives of women who worked there local to the time, in this sense, our results bring the records of this moment, from the process of creation until the decline of the same, visibility the work of those that are within the history of the own Coopjuta. We also show, besides the income, the economic subsidy, the artistic capacity of women to transform the fiber of jute into handcrafted products that were sold in the municipality, in the neighboring regions and to the world, but for many reasons comes to an end.
