| Zusammenfassung: | A literature and the cinema of Gothic genre unite elements of the terror that enchant generations until the present day. But is it possible that the contemporary Gothic subculture and a Gothic tradition have something in common beyond the name? Can we find echoes of archetypes and elements of classical works of the Gothic genre in lyrics of Brazilian bands of this genre? To find the answers, we analyze the corpus of seven lyrics of six Brazilian bands of Gothic influence in search of translations with texts of the same genre. For this, the dialectical method will become indispensable, since it allows analyzing the course for Gothic from literature, through the cinema, until arriving at contemporaneity as a musical genre that was consecrated within the Gothic subculture. |
| Beschreibung: | A literatura e o cinema de gênero gótico reúnem elementos do terror que encantam gerações até os dias atuais. Mas é possível que a contemporânea subcultura gótica e a tradição gótica tenham em comum algo além do nome? Podemos encontrar ecos de arquétipos e elementos de obras clássicas do gênero gótico em letras de bandas brasileiras deste gênero? Para alcançar essas respostas, o presente trabalho analisará o corpus de sete letras de seis bandas brasileiras de influência gótica em busca de semelhanças com textos do mesmo gênero. Para tanto, o método dialético tornar-se-á indispensável, pois ele permite analisar o percurso feito pelo gótico desde a literatura, passando pelo cinema, até chegar à contemporaneidade como um gênero musical que se consagrou dentro da subcultura gótica.
