Abstract

This paper aims to present the results of the research, whose theme is "Environmental Education and School: a study on the" Foot-of-Pincha "Project developed in the São Pedro do Parananema Community - Parintins / AM", held with teachers and students Of the 4th and 5th years of the initial series, in addition to the community of the said study area. Interest in this research came from the management and reproduction activities of chelonians carried out by teachers, students and residents, developed from the "foot-of-pincha" project, with the School as the project headquarters in the community. During this period, it was possible to observe the performance of the teachers, the participation of the residents, the interest and participation of the students, and, above all, the importance of working with projects in Environmental Education. The objective of this work is to analyze how the environmental education is worked in the community of Parananema, in view of the quality of life of its residents, so that they identify the real value to the environment, from projects focused on issues Environmental impacts. For this, a quantitative-qualitative research was used, based on the phenomenological method. And through this research we can evaluate the interest and dedication of these, who, faced with so many difficulties and challenges of everyday life, are able to follow in the activities, from the natural resources that the community provides. As for the students, it is possible to notice that the degree of knowledge regarding environmental issues is very accentuated so that there were no difficulties in the answers to the questionnaires. An educational work focused on the environmental issues that the educators of the São Pedro School of Parananema pass on from the knowledge already acquired, and thus, to improve even more their environmental conception, and always seeking more and more information in front of the work they do in school , Allowing more and more success of the actions, both of management, reproduction of the chelonians, and the insertion of these contents in their pedagogical proposals of work.
