A socioespacialidade da comunidade Santa Rita de Cássia da Valéria no interior do município de Parintins- AM

Abstract

Understanding the dynamics of a community in the Amazon requires the understanding of socio-spatial relationships involving its involvement with the urban environment. In the case of the community of Santa Rita de Cássia da Valeria, east of the municipality of Parintins, it is still a topic to be discussed, since it is a rural area that presents characteristics and urban, given its proximity to the city of Parintins And the introduction of electric power in the community. The social agents that produce space in the studied community make it possible to think of a peaceful life and with a strong harmony with nature, but this has been changing currently. The Santa Rita passes from a way of life peculiar to the isolated communities of the Amazon to a semi-urban life and in recent years is strongly influenced by the visit of transatlantic tourist in the region. The objective of this work is to know these modifications in the local space and the transformations Occurred in the life of the community, mainly by the history told by the former residents. The results point to a concern with the changes that have occurred in recent years and the growth of social, environmental and health problems of the population, which should be taken into account in the decision of public policies for this and other rural communities in the region.
