Abstract

This research was instigated by my questioning as a musician and researcher, and the idea of ​​bringing them in the form of a TCC came mainly from the research2 that I developed during the master's degree in Society and Culture in the Amazon, in which I approached musical performance and the identity recognition of a musical group formed by Sateré Mawé and Tikuna children from one of the existing Sateré villages in the city of Manaus. From this work, it became evident that indigenous music still has little visibility and incentive in multi-ethnic Manaus, and this recognition, to a greater or lesser extent, depends on the management and interest in including these groups in public policies for culture. It was in the year 2017 that for the first time an indigenous singer, Djuena Tikuna, performed on the stage of Teatro Amazonas with indigenous people of different peoples
