Abstract

This article aims to present the perception of the first travelers that descended and climbed the great Rio Amazonas, and described that on the banks there were extensive human occupations. Within a spatial analysis in the area of the Zona Leste de Manaus, archaeological findings have confirmed that human populations have left a legacy of management and way of life. It is the proposition of this text to relate these landscapes existing in the Zona Leste de Manaus and bringing emphasis to the pre-Columbian occupations.
