Zusammenfassung: The present research has as theme Ethnicity and Legitimacy in the colonial village of Ega: Contributions to the Indigenous History of the Amazon (1800-1820). From the analysis of the Baptism Registers, the research aims at observing the standards of Ethics and Legitimacy in the Colonial Village of Ega, paying attention to the process of descent present in both legislations, the 1750 Pombaline Directory and the 1798 Royal Charter of Power. achieving this objective work consisted in mapping the books of Baptisms Registry existing in the Prelature of Tefé to the period from 1800 to 1820; understand how the rhythm and flow of possible particular departures recorded by Ega's Baptism book; Understand the proper rhythms of family formation based on the concepts of ethnicity and legitimacy; Organize and tabulate in charts and tables the data regarding Ethnicity and Legitimacy present in the baptism books of said village; to digitize, through digital photography, the most vulnerable books in order to preserve the information contained therein. This research is justified by the fact that the ecclesiastical sources have privileged information about the indigenous populations, and it is the role of registering from birth, marriage and death of the whole village, therefore, through the records it is possible to reconstitute the families of a certain period, since these documents have information such as social condition, sex, color, age, ethnicity and through these traces of kinship and spiritual kinship, partially shaping the families of the time. In order to do so, it is intended to answer the predominant pattern in Baptism Records, whether legitimate or illegitimate? And in relation to the decreases, what is the flow of ethnicities descended to the villages of Ega and Nogueira recorded by the parish priests. It is suggested to this question that in the villages can contain both the standards of legitimacy and illegitimacy by the quantitative indigenous population inhabiting the villages and also those that are being descended.
