O Presépio de Nazaré nas Terras MURA: um estudo arqueológico dos artefatos da Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré em Manacapuru-AM

Abstract

The present research analyzes the relation of people with the Material Culture existing in the Church of Our Lady of Nazareth, in Manacapuru. In this study, the objects existing in the church not only as symbols of a religion, but as historical and archaeological artifacts, which are part of the religious life of the locality, which have a relationship of faith and respect towards them. The majority of artifacts was brought by the Europeans to the devotion of the local people and others were produced by the inhabitants of the city. We know that previous studies indicate that the presence of in the Mura Lands were undoubtedly contributions that marked the identity of the natives in every region, particularly in culture and religion. However, objects introduced into religious rituals, which became part of the devotion of the people, in the a reflection on them. Just like the others produced by the natives and that became part of the religiosity of the population.
