Interdisciplinaridade e transdisciplinaridade como estratégia de ensino superior de saúde coletiva

Abstract

To investigate the application of inter and transdisciplinarity as a teaching-learning strategy in collective health in the scope of undergraduate courses in nursing, medicine and dentistry. Method: This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach based on the theory of complexity, referenced in the thinking of Edgar Morin. The subjects of the study were finalists of the nursing, medicine and dentistry courses regularly enrolled in the rural internship course in collective health with voluntary participation and data production obtained from individual interviews. Results: the study identified that academics can not define the term interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity with clarity, it was also observed the non-recognition of interdisciplinarity during their previous academic life and its importance as a teaching strategy, however, they note the difficulty of relating interdisciplinarity in theory and practice. Conclusion: we can conclude that interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity are little explored terms in the academy, so it is necessary to emphasize the importance of these to a training more appropriate to the needs of future professionals and recognize that they are fundamental strategies to enhance interprofessional work
