| Abstract: | The present article aims to discuss whether the paintings in the wall of the Bilingual School - Libras and Portuguese written (EBT), of Taguatinga, in the Federal District, constitute a new branch of discursive genre or not. Based on Marcuschi (2003) and Bakhtin (1997), we used Perlin's theoretical and analytical essentials, whose mapping of deaf identities provides a powerful discursive force to the message of empowerment of deaf community, stamped on the school wall. The Critical Discourse Analysis (ADC) and the Multimodality Theory support the argument that, in this case, the wall constitutes a multimodal discursive genre, since visual identity is a significant cultural landmark of the deaf individual. | Description: | O presente artigo tem por objetivo discutir se as pinturas no muro da Escola Bilíngue – Libras e Português escrito (EBT), de Taguatinga, no Distrito Federal, constituem nova ramificação de gênero discursivo ou não. Após revisar a literatura a respeito da imbricação de gêneros, tendo por base Marcuschi (2003) e Bakhtin (1997), utilizamos os esteios teórico-analíticos de Perlin (1998), cujo mapeamento de identidades surdas fornece portentosa força discursiva à mensagem de empoderamento da comunidade surda, estampada no muro da escola. A Análise de Discurso Crítica (ADC) e a Teoria da Multimodalidade sustentam a argumentação de que, neste caso, o muro constitui, sim, gênero discursivo multimodal, já que a identidade visual é marco cultural significativo do indivíduo surdo. |
