Abstract: The reflection addressed in this research is to analyze and verify the character of the sociocultural articulations related to the rock and roll scene in Parintins, highlighting the protagonism of women in the underground movement in the city. The methodological route used is based on oral sources, which bring the voices of the girls and note a gap regarding female participation in the movement, and also, provokes their sullen resistance in this space. We interviewed girls who experienced the movement at different times in the city from the beginning to the peak, and also interviewed male participants, who were once and still on the road, linked to the rock-making movement and who describe his experiences with the movement from the earliest cries to the moment when the scene reaches the apex, and therefore the retraction, but which, even today, struggles for resistance in Parintins-AM, correlating its contributions to evidence the movement rock underground, elucidating the involvement of women in this space of resistance, seen in general, a place of masculine predominance. The research, supported, is based on a bibliographical basis that verifies the participation of women in this scenario as a subject who fights for space. And finally, I finish this analysis that, in fact, there had already been an active participation of women who enjoy rock, but the decline of the movement has compromised its envelopment, and that they play the leading role in the movement and rock shows.
