Marujada em Freguesia do Andirá: processos de resistência de uma cultura festeira, Barreirinha/AM.

Abstract

This article discusses relevant points that led to the marujada of the parish of Andirá / Barreirinha-AM to resist the impositions of the church, with the creation of the "Association of Parish Mariners of Andirá AMFA." Approaching from the narratives of participants of the marujada as it began the feast of the marujada and the conflicts that led to such transformations. Evidenciating by the bias of the narratives of the subjects the constituent practices of black, indigenous and European heritage inheritance, found in the marujada of the Parish. In this research the method of oral history becomes paramount, as well as the analyzes of documentary sources for the accomplishment of this work. Highlighting the impasses placed with the Romanization project, which led to this culture that goes through centuries to formalize itself. Show the persistence of the subjects in maintaining their customs and manners in the marujada of the Parish. Practices that are fundamental to keep alive the individual and social identity of that group.
