Análise da prova da 2ª fase da olimpíada parintinense de matemática (OPM) 2017, nível 3

Abstract

In the city of Parintins, a Mathematics Olympiad for primary school students hasbeen held since 2005. The test is divided into levels, these levels are distributed from the 6º to the 9º year of elementary school, and from the 1st to the 3° year of high school. In this article we present the results of a quantitative-qualitative research, in which we sought to analyze which branches and contents of mathematics originate the majority of the errors presented in the tests of the 2ª phase of the 3° level of the Mathematical Parintinense Olympiad - OPM. The object of study is the evidence of the 2ª phase of the 3° level of OPM. To obtain the information, we used structured interviews with the current OPM coordinators, a questionnaire was applied with teacher Francisco Eteval da Silva Feitosa, creator of the OPM and an analysis of the tests of the 2ª phase of the 3° level, in order to know the index of correct answers and errors by questions. The results obtained in the research allow us to affirm that OPM serves as a foundation for us teachers in training and even for those who already practice the profession to know the difficulties that the students face in certain contents of Mathematics, since they show that the highest indexes of errors occur in the geometry branch.
