A utilização do material concreto para o ensino da função afim

Abstract

This article discusses the results of a research that aims to analyze how the use of concrete material, particularly constructed with recyclable materials, can contribute to facilitate the understanding of the graphical representation of the teaching of related function. The methodological procedure was centered on the nature of qualitative research; based on the method of phenomenological approach; having as method of procedure the educational ethnography and as techniques of data collection the structured observation, open questionnaire and workshop realization. Being the subjects of the research 29 students of the 1st year of high school of a state school in the municipality of Parintins / Amazonas. The results allow to affirm that students present difficulties related to the conceptual understanding of the related function, and its application in everyday life, as well as in the demonstration of the graph in the Cartesian plane; noting that the concrete material favors 3D graphic visualization, thus enhancing the teaching of the related function. We conclude that the of concrete material use is important to contribute to the understanding of the teaching of the graphs of the related function, making it more pleasant for students to learn in order to promote a meaningful learning of said content, arousing their curiosity about what can be relate to the real world.
