A fitogeografia urbana nas praças públicas da cidade de Parintins - AM, sua importância histórica/ social e ambiental na paisagem urbana

Abstract

The present study had as main objective to study the vegetal species of two old squares of the city of Parintins, its importance in the urban landscape as historical, social and environmental document in the city. The study of the phytogeography of the public squares of the city of Parintins was very important, since it sought to know and understand the ecological and social acuity present in the city, besides exposing the importance of maintaining and conserving the local biodiversity. Methodologically the research is based on a deductive approach, which consisted of analyzing in the general scope, bringing to the particular and comparative where it was sought to draw comparisons and similarities between the squares under study. Firstly, a rigorous bibliographical survey was carried out, with the main authors Cox & Moore (2013), Siqueira (2005, 2008, 2012), IBGE (2012), Pinto Silva (2003) and De Angelis et al (2005). Subsequently it was carried out in the field the survey of the species, arboreal, shrub and herbaceous of the squares. The study of urban phytogeography showed a pattern of geographic distribution of exotic species in both squares. Therefore, the importance of vegetation in the city is for the improvement of the aesthetics of cities, economic valuation of spaces, minimization of the effects of visual pollution, promoting the health of the population psychologically, spiritually and physically, as well as ecological benefits. In these green spaces interact with the fauna of the region, and the reduction of energy consumption, collaborating with the preservation of native species threatened with extinction.
