Abstract: This work aims to present the results of the research with the theme "Archaeological Artifacts as a pedagogical tool in the Teaching of Geography and in the understanding of Landscape Archeology", carried out with teachers and students of the 4th and 5th years of Elementary School I of the Municipal School "São Pedro" in the Parananema Community in Parintins / AM. The interest in this research came from the activities of the "New Talents" subproject, whose theme is "Cultural Heritage and Memory in the settlement of Vila Amazônia: A study of the medium for social inclusion and development of scientific culture in Parintins / AM" , developed in the area related to the Settlement Project of Vila Amazônia and Valéria. Through this participation, came the idea of ​​developing a project whose objective is to study the feasibility of using the Archaeological Site located in the Parananema community as a non-formal learning space, considering archaeological artifacts as a facilitating tool for teaching geography and understanding of the archeology of the landscape. For the development of this study was used quantitative-qualitative research and as a fundamental basis for the processes that occurred until we reached a result the dialectical hermeneutic method was used. And through the development of this research it was possible to observe the interest and participation of the teachers and students of the school on the importance of the archaeological artifacts in the teaching of Geography and their life.
Descrição: Este trabalho tem o intuito de apresentar os resultados da pesquisa com a temática “Artefatos Arqueológicos como ferramenta pedagógica no Ensino de Geografia e na compreensão da Arqueologia da Paisagem”, realizada com professores e alunos do 4º e 5º anos do Ensino Fundamental I da Escola Municipal “São Pedro” na Comunidade do Parananema em Parintins/AM. O interesse por essa pesquisa surgiu com a participação das atividades do subprojeto “Novos Talentos”, que tem como tema “Patrimônio Cultural e Memória no Assentamento de Vila Amazônia: Um estudo de meio para inclusão social e desenvolvimento da cultura científica em Parintins/AM”, desenvolvido na área referente ao Projeto de Assentamento de Vila Amazônia e Valéria. Mediante essa participação, veio a ideia de desenvolver um projeto cujo objetivo é estudar a viabilidade de utilização o Sítio Arqueológico localizado na comunidade do Parananema como espaço não-formal de aprendizagem, considerando os artefatos arqueológicos como instrumento facilitador para o ensino de geografia e a compreensão da arqueologia da paisagem. Para o desenvolvimento desse estudo utilizou-se a pesquisa quanti-qualitativa e como base fundamental para os processos que ocorreram até chegarmos a um resultado foi empregado o método hermenêutico dialético. E por meio do desenvolvimento dessa pesquisa foi possível observar o interesse e a participação dos professores e alunos da escola sobre a importância dos artefatos arqueológicos no ensino aprendizagem de Geografia e na vida dos mesmos.
