A higiene pessoal no programa de erradicação do trabalho infantil (PETI) do município de Tefé - Amazonas

Abstract

The aims of this study were to evaluate, through questionnaire and interview, the information that children and parents from Eradication of the Infantile Work Program (PETI) Tefé municipality district, Amazonas state have about personal hygiene and promote a space to clarify doubts and to provide information about the importance of acquiring good hygiene habits to improve the quality of life of children and their families through a lecture. After completion of the work, it was found that, although children and parents from PETI have basics informations about personal hygiene, most do not put in practice this information and can’t get to connect the lack of infrastructure where they live with poor hygiene, which is an alarming result for Tefé. Although most children have responded that they are encouraged by their parents to have good hygiene habits, what was observed in PETI was a large number of children poorly sanitized and the lack of interest of most parents in relation to theme, situation proved due to the small number of parents who attended the lecture.
