| Resumo: | O objetivo do artigo é analisar a distribuição espacial da indústria de transformação brasileira, no período de 2007-2018. Para isto, utilizaram-se medidas de localização e especialização, como Coeficiente de Redistribuição (Cr) e Quociente Locacional (QL), com dados do CEGED (Cadastro Geral de Empregados e Desempregados). Os resultados mostraram que o Sudeste manteve o ranking nacional com maior saldo de empregados na indústria de transformação, mas vem perdendo posição para o Nordeste, o qual passou de 7,12%, em 2008, para 39,35%, em 2014. Quanto ao nível de especialização, as regiões Sul e Sudeste estiveram entre as mais especializadas dentre as regiões brasileiras. Isto deveu-se muito ao nível de avanço tecnológico, infraestrutura e logística. As demais regiões, como Norte e Nordeste, vem ganhando espaço e mostrando-se especializadas em alguns anos. | Abstract: | The objective of this paper is to analyze the spatial distribution of the Brazilian manufacturing industry, from 2007-2018. For this, location and specialization measures were used, such as Redistribution Coefficient (Cr) and Locational Quotient (QL), with data from CEGED (General Register of Employees and Unemployed). The results showed that the Southeast maintained the national ranking with the largest balance of employees in the manufacturing industry, but has been losing position to the Northeast, which went from 7.12% in 2008 to 39.35% in 2014. At the level of specialization, the South and Southeast regions were among the most specialized among the Brazilian regions. This was largely due to the level of technological advancement, infrastructure and logistics. The other regions, such as North and Northeast, have been gaining ground and proving to be specialized in some years. The Southeast is the region with the highest level of dispersion over the period. Clearly, the results point to a trend of reconfiguring the spatial distribution of the manufacturing industry across regions. Regional differences have led the Brazilian manufacturing industry, over the period, to begin to assume a new development dynamic among the country's regions. |
