Abstract

This article aimed to analyze which factors interfere with the teaching and learning of mathematics in the early years, as well as diagnosing the difficulties presented by teachers in relation to teaching and learning mathematics. The methodology adopted was bibliographical research with a qualitative approach, based on secondary research already carried out on the topic of this study. The results of this research showed that, despite the numerous difficulties faced by teachers and students in the process of teaching and learning mathematics, teachers are always looking for new teaching methodologies that have meaning for the student, sharpening their interest in the subject. , and effective teaching and learning. In this way, the role of the teacher becomes essential in the development of student learning.
