The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of the ultrasonic agitation of endodontic sealer by evaluation of the percentage of remaining filling in canal light after retreatment as well as the time required for Retreatment. For this, 30 single roots elements extracted from humans were used, which were instrumented by the Protaper Universal system until the instrument F3. In the obturation phase, the specimens were randomly divided into 2 groups (n = 15), where in group 1, the technique of agitation of the sealer was manual, and in Group 2, the ultrasonic agitation of sealer was performed for 20 seconds (s). The root canal sealer used was AH Plus. After this stage the specimens were retreated with Largo drills size 1 and 2, and System Reciproc (R50) and the time was timed. The auxiliary chemical solution used in both treatment and retreatment was sodium hypochlorite at 2.5%. After this, the elements were longitudinally cleaved with a double-sided diamond disc in the Vestibulo-lingual direction, totally cleaved with a Lecron and photographed in magnification of 8X magnification. The total area of root canal and remnants of filling material were quantified. Group 2 showed higher percentage of remaining filling material when compared to Group 1 (p < 0.05). In the evaluation between the groups by thirds, there was a statistically significant difference for the apical third (p < 0.05). In the time evaluation, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05). The ultrasonic agitation of the sealer significantly influenced the highest percentage of remaining filling material in the root canal walls after retreatment, but did not influence in the time of retreatmentpt_BR
