O fagote no Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Claudio Santoro: um relato sobre o curso entre 1998 a 2022

Abstract

This research aims to approach the bassoon course at the former Centro Cultural Claudio Santoro - CCCS, an institution created by the Government of the State of Amazonas in 1998, in the city of Manaus, with the aim of bringing children, young people and third-party people age an opportunity for artistic learning in the capital of the State of Amazonas. The bassoon, is an instrument with its own timbre, irreplaceable and enriching, it consists of a long conical wooden tube of about 2.5 meters, folded over itself. Since its existence, the then Claudio Santoro Cultural Center completed 22 years in 2022. Currently, it is configured as Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Claudio Santoro - LAOCS, which had its merger in February 2007. In this long period, the bassoon course is still little sought after, givenhistorical reports that prove a small number of students active. According to a document issued by the Liceu itself, the course reached 111 students in the period from 2002 to 2018. The work reports the application of the instrument in groups and historical facts about the registration of teachers/instrumentalists between the years 1998 and 2022. The data were obtained by through interviews, reports and reports of own experience, highlighting the practice and teaching of the instrument.
