Incentivo ao cultivo e cozinha com plantas locais (plantas alimentícias não-convencionais-pancs), na comunidade da boca do rio no município de Manicoré-AM

Abstract

In the Amazon, low fertility soils predominate, which (Andrade, 2002) together with climatic conditions of high temperature and humidity, make up environments that limit the cultivation of most conventional vegetables. On the other hand, some nonconventional vegetables comprising native and introduced species are adapted to these environmental conditions and can contribute decisively to the improvement of the diet of the populations of the region. This work aims to encourage the consumption and study of non-conventional vegetables, as an alternative of change and improvement for the community of Boca do Rio, municipality of Manicoré, located approximately 30 km from the city, by road and fifteen minutes of voadeira. The stages of the project will be botanical research in the community with survey and identification of plants that can be cultivated and incorporated into the food habits of community members. Application of a questionnaire with members of the community, to expose our project and formalize our partnership, with the same ones that are of interest. Following steps one and two, we will select the seedlings and plant the PANCS in the backyards of those interested, as well as hold workshops to teach the ways of using and preparing the dishes with these plants.
