O sobrenatural literário em contos da floresta do escritor indígena amazonense Yaguarê Yamã

Abstract

It is known that the culture of indigenous peoples is composed of countless legends and myths responsible for the manifestation of supernatural beings who punish and spell curses to individuals who dare to inflict on Amazonian forests and rivers. In this way, we will analyze, from the perspective of literary phenomenology, the literary supernatural in ―Contos da Floresta‖ (2012) by the Amazonian indigenous writer Yaguarê Yamã, belonging to the Maraguá ethnic group, seeking to understand the importance of the supernatural with the myths and legends for the survival of the culture and identity of the Maraguá people of the lower Amazon. Yamã is the author of many works of the Amazonian children's and youth literature that despite the fact that it has little recognition and it is considered as a "minor literature", is evidenced with an undeniable wealth when analyzed. Thus, with this article it is also timidly intended to provide greater visibility to the Amazonian indigenous children's and youth literature, producing a theoretical corpus that contributes to the study of this literature in the Amazonian scenario. Therefore, the proposed work will include the theories of Lovecraft (1987), Roas (2014), Silva (2000), Freud (1919), Eliade (2000), Rocha (1999) and Costa (2016), among others that can contribute to this study.
