O Matadouro Frigorífico Osório Melo no município de Parintins enquanto nódulo mediador no ordenamento territorial

Abstract

This work presents the theme on "The Osório Melo Frigorifico Slaughterhouse in the Municipality of Parintins as mediator node in the territorial planning". The study was motivated by the problem. Is the slaughterhouse a mediating node in the territorial order of the municipality? Investigations were carried out through field work in the slaughterhouse and in the Municipal Secretary of Livestock, Agriculture and Supply, with interviews and semi-open questionnaires being carried out for people directly involved with the object of study. The main objective was to understand what is the mediation of the slaughterhouse in the perspective of the production of Parintins and the specific objectives of raising the record of the Slaughterhouse Osório Melo. To explain the contextualization of the slaughterhouse in the process of mediation in the territorial planning of the municipality of Parintins. And identify the main syntagmatic subjects and the probable territorial influences with the slaughterhouse. Where guiding questions were used, in an attempt to clarify through quantitative-qualitative research the historical cycles of the slaughterhouse, the growth of the territorial production of the municipality and the involvement of the stigmatic subjects in the dispute and control of the slaughterhouse, through the relations of power and territorial influences . With the analysis of the result, it was concluded that these power relations potentiate the slaughterhouse as a "trump" and mediator in the territorial order, influenced by the opportunities that generate resources and advantages directed to the syntagmatic subjects, denominated in this work as: politics, organization private owners, livestock owners, dealers and magarefes.
