Nas ondas do rádio - fragmentos da história do ensino da matemática em Parintins

Abstract

The teaching of mathematics is always seen as the one where the students present difficulties. In riverside schools this fact is even more frequent. In this sense, we present results of a qualitative research with contributions of the methodology of narrative research whose objective is to understand the image of Mathematics teaching that was structured in the memories of the alumni of the Sumaúma Project, a radio-mediated educational program developed in rural / riverside communities located in the city of Parintins-AM in the mid-1970s. Throughout the research process, we sought to identify with the research participants, three graduates of the Sumaúma Project, the meanings and meanings of questions that permeate and / or permeate their lives and are related to the teaching of Mathematics. The results allow us to say that teaching and learning mathematics to students in rural communities, mediated by technology, despite having evolved, still requires an attentive look to realize the gaps that are structured in the mathematical formation of these students and the needs that could be discussed, discussed and reflected in the teacher training courses of the Amazon Region to be known and attended to.
