O léxico da cidade de Parintins

Abstract

This article aims to survey the typical words that are used exclusively in the context of socio-cultural communication Parintins, Amazonas State, Brazil, discuss the importance for the formation of Parintins identity. To do this work was structured around three specific moments. First the development of typical vocabulary speech Parintins then insert them into a semantic field of the Portuguese Language, highlighting the structure of the lexical system of each word. Finally, the focus of this activity is focused on studying the diversity of unique words of the lexicon of Parintins, emphasizing the importance of the sociocultural context in the process of identity formation Parintins. The information presented in this research were made through an informal conversation with systematic interview, which confirms that, in one way or another, the Portuguese language is present in our culture a deep-rooted way. The certainty of this fact has made this study became a true invitation to deep thought about the importance of cultural appreciation not only in shaping the language of a people, but also the origin, development and maturation of other languages, including the Portuguese.
