| Abstract: | The municipality of Manacapuru presents a diversity of popular and religious festivals. The objective of this work is to identify the material culture present in the celebration of Santo Antônio do Bairro de Terra Preta, held annually in the municipality of Manacapuru, state of Amazonas. It presents a reconstitution of the historicity of the event, from its inception to the present, in view of the debate about its material culture, its representation, meanings, the identification of the objects that compose this culture, the characterization of these objects that compose all the ceremonies and rituals that are part of the celebration. |
| Descrição: | O município de Manacapuru apresenta uma diversidade de festas populares e religiosas. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo identificar a cultura material presente no festejo de Santo Antônio do Bairro de Terra Preta, realizado anualmente no município de Manacapuru, estado do Amazonas. Apresenta-se uma reconstituição da historicidade do evento, desde o seu surgimento até o presente, tendo em vista o debate sobre a sua cultura material, sua representação, significados, a identificação dos objetos que compõem essa cultura, a caracterização desses objetos que compõem todas as cerimonias e os rituais que fazem parte do festejo. |
