Caracterização da paisagem e dos vestígios arqueológicos da Comunidade Auta de Souza

Abstract

This work is a case study that aims to characterize the landscape and the archaeological remains that are found in the Auta de Souza community that is located on the left bank of the Manacapuru River. The community presents ceramic artifacts scattered on the surface, on the edge of the plateau and also on its slope, among other aspects the site presents a large package of TPA - black archeological land. Another aspect that immediately draws attention concerns the shelter structure that is located on the slope of the aforementioned site. In view of the changes that the site has been experiencing in the course of its history, this research asks "what posture could you use in relation to the preservation of the site?" Using the Archeology grants of the landscape that gives the researcher a reading of the region in which site archeology is inserted, going beyond the artifacts, this tool of analysis propitiates how the past populations, modified their environment creating cultural environments. However, when analyzing the surveyed area, it can be seen that the site was a large settlement.
