Abstract: In the Amazon region, there are several, displacement, semi-displacement and
planning vessels operating in typical activities. Motion stabilization technologies in naval
systems may provide benefits in performance and onboard experiences, two highly
desirable product indicators for consumers due to the competitive characteristics of the
sector. The benefits of using naval stabilizer equipment, such as trim tab and interceptor
equipment, which in the experiments conducted by Song et al. (2018) achieved a
reduction in total resistance of the hull of approximately 8.61%, could contribute to the
economic viability of ship, such as its competitiveness and establishment in the Amazon
naval industry. Adequate control systems regarding vessel movements are desirable. This
application will bring up prospects for boosting cruising speed, lowering operational
costs, and enhancing comfort and safety on board. To contribute to this goal, this work
aims to review existing technologies and equipment in the naval motion stabilizer sector
that can be installed on vessels, focusing on equipment with control systems, such as trim
tabs or interceptor systems. Moreover, to demonstrate the functioning of such control
systems, a simplified model of an oscillating beam structure was built. The movement of
the structure was controlled by a PID controller and, whose implementation technique
and code were made available. Through simplified experiments, resembling the ship
motion represented by a mass-damper-spring system, the oscillations of the model were
reduced through various controller setup. This work can be considered as a preliminary
step toward the development of low-cost control systems for vessels employed in the

Abstract: In an increasingly connected world, logistics, which has service as a product, has a
crucial function transporting supplies and merchandise. The need for efficiency and
efficacy has increased exponentially in the last few decades, companies need ways
to optimize processes to better service their clients, and this has become a great
challenge due to the accelerated environment of logistics. With this in mind, part of
the process scope from logistics company Z was observed, and its Land
Transportation (LT). The way they deal with some everyday issues in their operation
routine was analyzed, how those issues were resolved, how they approached those
issues and their success rate. Considering this analysis, a procedural method was
established, based on concepts and tools for continuous improvement, helping the
team to approach their everyday problem solving methods, which proved to be a
useful tool to introduce to the LT team members, concepts of quality tools and quality

Abstract: In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which triggered significant disruptions in global
supply chains, companies in the electrical-electronic components sector faced unique
challenges. This study aims to analyze the specific impacts that this health crisis had on the
supply chains of these companies. By examining collected data and reviewing relevant
literature, this research reveals how the pandemic affected production, distribution, logistics,
and demand in the sector. Additionally, it explores the strategies adopted by companies to
maintain operational resilience in the face of these challenges and how these strategies
influenced the continuous flow of vital materials and components. The conclusions highlight
the importance of the findings for the sector and discuss their potential to guide future supply
chain management strategies. In a context of unprecedented uncertainties and changes, it
becomes evident that companies in the sector faced substantial impacts due to the disruption of
supply chains caused by the pandemic. This reflects the extent and complexity of the challenges
that the electrical-electronic components industries faced in this critical period.2023-08-31T00:00:00ZTransformação digital aplicada na gestão de e-mails no departamento recursos humanos de uma empresa varejistaPinheiro, Gabrielly Souzahttp://repositorioinstitucional.uea.edu.br//handle/riuea/54432023-12-11T13:47:55Z2023-08-31T00:00:00ZTítulo: Transformação digital aplicada na gestão de e-mails no departamento recursos humanos de uma empresa varejista

Abstract: In the current business context, topics such as digital transformation and the pursuit of process
automation through the adoption of technologies have been widely discussed in companies, which
need to adapt to remain competitive in the market. In this scenario, efficient email management
plays a crucial role in the Human Resources Department (HR), responsible for employee-related
matters, and which receives a substantial daily influx of emails requiring significant dedication
from HR professionals to filter, respond to, and read these messages. The analyzed company
faces an average of 80 emails daily, a number that increases to 250 during payroll closing,
a notable increase of 213%. A significant portion of these messages address payroll-related
inquiries, causing overload and hindering efficiency. Given this, the research aims to analyze
email volume, identify key inquiries, and propose automated solutions to optimize email flow,
focusing on reducing inquiries, improving response quality, and shortening response times. The
study will employ assessments, process analyses and technological automation with concepts
of Lean Manufacturing and the A3 methodology. Thus, this research aligns with the digital
transformation, process automation trend and conceptions of lean manufacturing, contributing to
optimizing organizational productivity amidst complexities related to information and knowledge2023-08-31T00:00:00Z
